Taylor Swift debuts new ‘Reputation’ bodysuit, finally, in Miami

MIAMI — Taylor Swift kept things fresh on Friday in Miami as the Eras Tour returned to the U.S., and a particular wardrobe change has fans on edge.
Swifties closely track the outfits the singer wears onstage, and she’s switched them up for every era except one.
That changed on Friday.
She finally, after 131 shows, debuted a different “Reputation” bodysuit as the rain poured down during “…Are You Ready For It?” This one’s black and covered in gold snakes rather than red ones. What does the change mean? Time will tell, and fans will pass that time clowning.
They’ve been eagerly awaiting news and looking for clues as to when Swift will release “Repuation (Taylor’s Version).” So far, she’s rerecorded four of her first six albums so she owns them.

Swift also unveiled on Friday a new silver, fringed dress for her “Fearless” set, and a pink, purple and blue dress for her surprise, acoustic set.
It was a memorable kickoff for Swift’s remaining U.S. tour dates. She’s in Miami again on Saturday and Sunday, then heads to New Orleans and Indianapolis.
Rain began falling as the “Fearless” set ended, and Swift declared the concert an official “rain show” before she sang “All Too Well.” Rain shows hold a special place in Swift lore. The first Eras Tour rain show was in Nashville in 2023.
“The dancers, band, crowd and I all pretty much turned into little kids joyfully jumping in puddles all night,” Swift wrote on X after that show. “That was a late, great night I won’t forget.”
Swift certainly seemed to have a hell of a time with Florence Welch in Miami when the British singer made a surprise appearance to sing their duet “Florida!!!”
The entire crowd shrieked when the Florence + The Machine lead singer appeared during the second verse of “Tortured Poets” Track 8.
Welch debuted the song at the final Wembley Stadium show in London on Aug. 20. Fans surmised the song may be a part of the set list moving forward because the dancers had to learn a new dance and production created new stage graphics. The haunting melody about escaping your troubles to Destin, Florida, comes between “So High School” and “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”
The center platform propelled the two stars during the line, “So I did my best to lay to rest / All of the bodies that have ever been on my body.” A swampy green animation filled the backstage screen with tight camera shots on the singers. Swift’s backup dancers posed in gnarled tree positions. At the end, the two singers walked down the catwalk to the very end for the final “Florida!!! Go on, (expletive) me up.”
The night began with an opening set by up-and-coming singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, who opened earlier U.S. dates on the Eras Tour and will be featured on the remaining North American dates through the end of this year.
“I’m a diehard Swiftie, so I’m literally just one of you. I’ll be in the stands in tears at soon as our set is over,” Abrams said from the stage on Friday in a sheer black dress with red detailing and a midriff cutout.
She’s on a break from her own Secret of Us tour promoting her sophomore album of the same name — which features a duet with Swift.
